Event Details
At a decisive moment for the future of chemical policies, the European and Danish endocrine community are joining forces for a high-level event to discuss the current challenges and opportunities to minimise the presence of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals in our environment.
Participants will be able to learn about the latest EDC scientific developments fresh from the Joint Congress of ESPE and ESE (10-13 May), to discuss EU and national policy with Danish and European policymakers, receive recommendations to reduce EDC exposure, learn what consequences PFAS hotspots can have for local communities and obtain many more EDC-related research and public health-related insights.
Questions to be addressed include:

What role can recent New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) play in implementing EDC legislation?

What are the effects of PFAS on children and how does PFAS affect local communities?

What is the status of the different EU legislative debates such as REACH and the PFAS restriction proposal, and is the latest science sufficiently reflected in the ongoing debates?

How can groups at elevated risk of EDC toxicity reduce their exposure and what can people in general do to be less affected by EDCs in their environment?

How do EDCs affect health and in what areas?
